North Texas Renewable Energy Group - Event Photo Journal

2012 Fort Worth Nature Center "Buffalo Boogie" Race and Eco-Fair.

Every year, the Fort Worth Nature Center holds a race to help raise funding for this non-profit organization. Afterwards, booths and displays at the Nature Center "Eco Fair" educate the public about environmental issues and Earth-friendly choices for products, services, and lifestyles. There is no commercial electricity in the meadow where the event is held. Their choices are use a generator .. or solar energy. North Texas Renewable Energy Group members have provided 100% solar electricity for this event since it was founded.

Mike Renner's solar trailer was the only source of electricity for the entire Buffalo Boogie Eco Fest.

Buffalo Boogie Eco Fest visitors. All these people, and not one piece of litter on the ground. Impressive!

Halfway through the event. More visitors, and much more crowded. The NTREG booth yellow banner is barely visible in the background.

Litter bags such as this one were extremely successful. Here we are well into the event, and still no litter on the ground!
