2011 Live Green in Plano
With indoor display space for more than 100 exhibitors, and area outside for another 60 exhibitors, plus meeting rooms and ample area to test-drive hybrid and all-electric vehicles, the Plano Centre was the ideal venue for this environmentally themed event. 2011 Live Green in Plano attracted approximately 8,800 visitors.

Weather for 2011 Live Green in Plano could not have been better! Totally clear, light breeze, and temperatures in the mid-70s.
Habitat for Humanity was one of the more than 50 outdoor exhibitors in the Plano Centre west-side parking area.
Hybrid automobiles on display were but one aspect of their attraction. Visitors had an opportunity to test-drive them as well!
A Chevy Volt at its charging station. More than 50 test rides were provided throughout the day.
A Nissan Leaf - the only 100% totally electric automobile on display at 2011 Live Green.
An "NmG" all-electric car from Myers Motors. With three-wheels, it's not a car. It's licensed as a motorcycle!
EcoDallas staff member explaining "biodegradeable" kitchenware and utensils to some very attentive youngsters.
Representatives of the Sierra Club also had a display.
And where is this young man headed?? ...
He's going to "Kid's Town"! Live Green organizers reserved an area specifically for younger attendees.
Kid's Town activities included solar car races. Solar cars, built from kits, were run on a 100 foot long track.
Young people made a promise to do one thing to help the environment. Answers ranged from turning off lights to riding their bicycles more often.
Many workshops were held during 2011 Live Green. Education was not limited to the workshops alone...
Many people stopped at the Solar Shuttle to ask questions about solar energy. Here, Mike Renner, NTREG Chair, provides answers to a Live Green attendee.
NTREG members were busy answering questions all day. The extremely clear weather required the use of long sleeves to help reduce sunburns.
