2010 Dallas Home Improvement Show.

This was an all-indoor event. Our booth was next to Dan's "Solar Shuttle" (solar trailer) as it made its public debut. Of note, though there was no sunshine inside, the Shuttle's batteries had been fully charged by the sun, and that stored solar energy provided electricity for a three-hour live broadcast of the "Home Improvement Zone" radio show.

The Solar Shuttle. New. Shiny. Clean .. and all decked out in numerous pieces of paper. Any guess why?

Every set of pages was an informative "What It Is and What It Does" lesson!

More equipment and more tutorial information inside!

Mike Renner, NTREG Chair, talking with two very interested visitors.

Visitors came by our booth at a slow but steady pace for most of the show.

The Solar Shuttle was superb at attracting attention. The solar panels were visible from anywhere on the exhibit floor! Dan was co-host on the nationally syndicated radio show "Mother Earth News Radio".

Mike's light display operating from the Shuttle. Event organizers saw we were "using" electricity and tried to invoice us for it! On learning we were using our own power, they cancelled the invoice.

This is a better example of how crowded it was both days!

Sunday evenining. Packing up. It was a long but productive two day show.
2010032706.png
The show organizers threw out perfectly good live trees that had been used as decorations. Mike adopted one!

Problem: Big tree, small car. Will it fit??

Success! Mike and his new tree!. (Made it home safely too!)
