City of Grapevine "EPIC" Earth Day Experience
Held in conjunction with "Don't Mess with Texas Trash-Off", Texas' signature event for the "Great American clean-up" (8am-10am), the nation's largest community improvement program. Keynote by Chad Pregracke, CNN Hero of the Year! Chad is the Founder and President of "Living Lands & Water", the world's only "industrial strength" not-for-profit river cleanup organization. Over the last 16 years, he, his crew, and nearly 70,000 volunteers have removed more than 7 million pounds of garbage from our nation's rivers.   June June 7 National Trails Day.
Clear Creek Natural Heritage Center northeast of Denton, Texas will again host American Hiking Society's National Trails Day on Saturday, June 7 from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm. The event is free and open to the public.

  June 8 2014 Austin Cool House Tour.
Austin, Texas.
More than half of the homes on this tour typically boast solar electricity or solar hot water. Homeowners gain the most value from their solar energy systems when they design, build and remodel for energy efficiency first. This tour teaches you how and more.

High school students design, build, and race 100% solar-powered cars. The 2014 race is unique. It will start with two days racing at Texas Motor Speedway in Fort Worth, Texas, then go cross-country for two days from Fort Worth, Texas to Austin, Texas.

Location: Nationwide and througout the DFW Metroplex.
 
This is a nationwide event with over 100 individual events, all in an effort to increase awareness for electric vehicles. The DFW Clean Cities Coalition is planning this year's event, and is partnering with local automobile dealers around the North Texas region in an effort to spread the word about driving an electric vehicle.

The Clean Air Through Energy Efficiency ("CATEE") Conference will be hosted by the Energy Systems Laboratory ("ESL") of the Texas A&M Engineering Experiment Station ("TEES") November 18-20, 2014 at the Sheraton Dallas Hotel by the Galleria in Dallas.
 
CATEE 2014 is a premiere educational conference and energy-related business expo aimed at local government, business, civic leaders, and the development community. Its purpose is to facilitate implementation of energy efficiency in the built environment by sharing effective policies, new technologies, best practices, and local successes.
